Happy Birthday Nell. We will never forget to celebrate the good memories. Birthdays were your favorite. You, like many others, thought yours was a national holiday. To us now, it's a reminder of how much we love you and miss you. It's getting easier, but this day is always emotional and we find ourselves back to the questions, but we will never question how much you meant to us. Enjoy your Heavenly Birthday Nell. LUMMUM (Love U Much; Miss You More)
On this birthday, we are still holding on to faith that one day we will receive the justice that we all deserve. If not for you or us, then perhaps for RJ, Razhuan and R'Mani. They deserved better! LUM, MUM (Love You Much, Miss You More)
A Favorite Christmas Memory
A special Christmas moment...... This was one of the best Christmas presents Nell ever got....
We continue to trust God and believe that one day we will get closure, but until God opens the door, we will continue to live, love, and trust. Your sons are growing into fine young men and I pray they honor you and your memory by coming the MEN that you would want them to be. It's funny how you wanted 5 kids so they would be a basketball team. Well, you have 3 extraordinary athletes who I believe one day will make us proud. Look after them Princess Mommy.
Chanelle was murdered in a home invasion on Saturday, July 19, 2008. To date, no one has come forward with information, nor has anyone been charged with her death. It makes it seems as if she was guilty and doesn't deserve justice. She was truly the VICTIM. I know someone knows something and how you can sleep at night is beyond me. I can only hope you see her lifeless body in your dreams over and over again, until you repent and realize the hell you have caused for our family. If you are reading this, pass it along to others you know, maybe soon we'll have the closure we need.
If you have any information that will help convict those responsible, please contact Crime Stoppers, Detective Ann at 317-262-TIPS or 1800-222-TIPS. You can remain anonymous.
She was a daugther, a sister, a mother, grandaughter, a wife. She was a aunt, a cousin, a friend to many of you. Many of you called her friend. She was easy to talk to; non- judgemental, and beautiful inside and out. It's too bad that those who took her life did not know this about her. She was a graduate, a college student, and an aspiring daycare owner. She believed in some of you when nobody else would or could! She loved - more than anything else..She loved God, her family, and her friends. It's sad to say, but some of you didn't even deserve her love and loyalty as a friend. Yet she still gave it to you. Vengence belongs to God so we'll just continue to lean and depend on Him. When everything else fails...Lead me to the ROCK that is higher than you or I!

Chanelle Denise Walker-Wells was born 9lbs 7oz on February 25, 1984, to proud parents, Malachi and Dawn Walker. Chanelle was a pleasant baby who rarely cried, probably because she sucked her thumb until age 6. Chanelle has one sister, AshLynne Nicole Walker and one brother, Adrian Joseph Walker. AshLynne and Chanelle were best friends and always together. It was rare that you would see one without the other, and of course Adrian is as always, the bratty little brother who loved his Big Sis. She considered cousin, Sherena Downs, her sister. Chanelle enjoyed spending time with family, watching movies, and going to church. She was also quite a good writer. Chanelle was saved at a Youth convention at age 13 and baptized at age 15 at Great Commission Church of God.
Chanelle attended Lighthouse Christian School from grades 1 - 5 and was one of the school's first graduates. Chanelle attended the Key School from 6th - 7th grades. At age 13 we moved, much to Chanelle's disapproval and she finished 8th grade at Stonybrook Middle School where she played on the basketball team. Chanelle graduated from Warren Central Higschool in 2002. At Warren Central she was president of Class Act and a member of the WC Gospel Choir. It was also at Warren Central that she met highschool sweetheart, Randy Wells, Sr. In 2004 Chanelle graduated from Indiana Busines College with a Associates in Medical Assisting and at the time of her death she was a student at Ivy Tech, majoring in Early Childhood Education. Her desire was to teach kindergarten or open her own home day care, which she affectionately called - "Tiny Blessings Day Care".
Chanelle has three sons, Randy, Jr. (RJ), Rayzhuan (Ray Ray), and R'mani. She was always quick to remind us that her children were a blessing from God. She was a stay at home mom. After she had R'mani, I asked her if she was finished and she told me "no" she wanted to have at least two more. Hopefully boys... so she could have her own superstar basketball team! I was secretly hoping for a girl!
On April 28, 2007, Chanelle married her high school sweetheart, Randy Wells, Sr. and honeymooned in Las Vegas, courteousy of her grandparents, Joe and Norene Duff, of course! I believe that this one of the happiest days of her life. She certainly never looked more beautiful. People always compared her to Beyonce, but I really don't think there was a comparison. Chanelle and Randy recently celebrated their first wedding anniversary in April, 2008.
